Adecco Group, a world leader in the recruitment of Office Professionals, has an immediate opening for an Administrative Assistant on a 3 Month Contract opportunity with a leading company in Washington, DC. The prospective candidate will be: Assist five federal lobbyists in the Office of Governmental Affairs. Handle all aspects of an administrative assistant position, including but not limited to: Preparing memos and letters, presentations and reports in a timely manner; Lotus Notes calendar (preferable) and schedule/coordinate meetings; answer telephone and take messages; welcome guests and assist visitors; order supplies; maintain/create filing systems; excellent written, verbal communication and organizational skills. High degree of professionalism. Detail oriented and committed to quality. Team player - a positive contributor to the team effort. Experience with emphasis on business or investment related topics preferred. Effective time management and desktop management skills needed. Flexibility to a changing work environment is a must. Ability and adaptability to work well independently under pressure, establish priorities and make decisions within prescribed parameters while working in a team setting. Independently manage daily workload to meet daily goals and deadlines. SKILLS: Communication/Interpersonal Skills Attention to detail is a must Work as part as a team Knowledge of Capitol Hill and/or experience with the insurance industry preferred Associate degree and/or equivalent work experience required. Superior Customer service skills and focus. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities. MS Office Skills (Strong PowerPoint/Excel skills) 8,000-12,000 KSPH Familiarity with IBM processing equipment.
