Jobing Description

Responsibilities:

The Senior Marketing Manager provides:
1.strategic input on product brand identity, positioning, messaging, and testing strategies;
2.direction on the annual budget setting process and oversight of the marketing plan development of providers;
3.quality control of AARP brand and messaging;
4.expertise in use of plain language standards to improve consumer understanding and enhance product literacy among members;
5.subject matter expertise to build-out and continuous improvement of content and decision-support tools on related websites, i.e. ASI's products and services web portal;
6.direction of the research budget and insight into research needs, objectives, methodology, and desired learning for product area;
7.product level knowledge and marketing expertise toward the development of a portfolio level strategy of a suite of products, educating and providing guidance to eligible AARP members;
8.strategic and tactical marketing oversight of product feature enhancement launches; and
Demonstrates WORLD CLASS cultural attributes and behaviors in all interactions.

Requirements:
?Completion of a Bachelor's degree (Master's degree in Marketing preferred) and 6-10 years of experience in marketing or communications; or an equivalent combination of training and experience related to the duties of the position.
?Strong industry experience, including knowledge of products and the regulatory environment.
?Strong direct-to-consumer marketing experience, especially in direct response advertising and web.
?Ability to develop marketing plans and manage relationships across multiple external vendors and business partners.
?Proven strategic thinking and analytical skills to direct efficient marketing spend and prudent quality control.
?Proven ability to edit and provide constructive comments on marketing materials for major marketing channels.
?Excellent written, verbal, visual/presentation and interpersonal communications skills.
?Willingness and ability to work at a fast, efficient pace in order to manage large products effectively.
?Dedication to excellence in customer service for internal and external customers.
