Organization: Application Outsourcing
Location: Washington, DC
People within Application Outsourcing are responsible for the day-to-day provision of long-term outsourcing services to one or several clients. As part of our Application Outsourcing team, you could be helping to provide the programming, management and maintenance services needed to implement and support installations of both custom and packaged application software

Description:
The Sr. System Operations System Analyst is responsible for:
*
Assist in managing systems operations and job monitoring which includes monitoring and reporting system availability, outages, job ABENDS, batch processing, as well as reporting the statistics for daily processing.
*
Plan and execute routine production processes to support client programs and initiatives.
*
Day-to-day coordination with TSYS Data Center staff (technical level) for technical support and services.
*
Assist in planning all implementations and review and approve all implementation plans, hourly schedules and other implementation planning activities.
*
Support the Interface Operations team with interface reconciliation issues; includes but not limited to interface reject analysis and stuck and missing batches resolution.
*
Assist with analyzing and resolving production issues as needed.
*
Provides written and verbal updates to the project team and client on the status of issues.
*
Proactively escalates issues in a timely manner.
*
Attends the daily production calls and others as needed to provide status.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
* 3 years of experience in Software Development Life Cycle methodologies
* 3 years experience with Microsoft Office
* 3 years application development, maintenance, support, testing, help desk, or business/systems analyst experience
* 3 years experience Mainframe computer programming and systems development tools such as COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, DB2, IMS, CA7
* BS Degree, Information Technology or other technical discipline, or 2 additional years experience in lieu of a degree
Preferred Skills:
* 1 year experience using Cognos 8
* 1 year experience in Java, WebLogic, XML
Professional Skills:
* Proven ability to work independently and as a team member
* Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
* Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
