Accenture is a great place for researchers interested in working at the intersection of technology and business. We investigate fundamental problems in areas such as software engineering; hardware, software, and system architecture; large-scale data management; human-computer interaction; machine learning; cyber security. We conduct research in these and other areas, and apply the results to important business problems, such as:

This posting represents multiple roles in various locations across the US. Some roles are location-specific, while others require travel. You may be contacted by multiple Accenture recruiters representing different opportunities for which you may be a fit.

Qualifications

Current Openings:

We currently have multiple openings for Technology Researchers and Innovators in multiple disciplines. We are seeking creative and energetic candidates capable of defining and executing strong research programs in areas like those outlined above. We currently have research groups in Silicon Valley (San Jose) and Chicago as well as a new cyber-security group forming in Washington, D.C. The successful candidate will work in one of these locations.

Required Skills:

*
BS Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering (or closely related field)

*
2 years minimum of experience in programming skills (C++, C#, Java)

*
1 year minimum of experience in current Operating Systems, Web, and Database technologies

*
1 year minimum of experience in one or more of the following: Linux, MySQL, WIn 32 API, .NET, PHP, ASP, DirectX, Flash MX, Flex, Silverlight, Database design

*
Ability to identify research problems, propose solutions within the constraints of large-scale enterprises, and take the lead in implementing and evaluating these solutions

* Strong presentation skills, with the ability to articulate the larger implications of a research project
* Highly developed critical evaluation skills. Ability to assess the potential impact of emerging technologies
* Proven publication record at refereed conferences and journals preferred
