Job Description: Senior Marketing Consultant, PHSS Aquatics/Caregiving Job Summary The Senior Marketing Consultant: Researches market conditions in the local, regional, or national market for health and safety training to determine potential revenue opportunities for the Red Cross suite of products and services. Performs analyses in the areas of product preferences, potentials, market size, penetration, marketing practices and trends, and prepares forecasts and recommendations. Keeps informed about developments in the government, legal, scientific, political, and media fields as they apply to the organization's future program development and marketing plans. Gathers data on competitors and analyzes their prices, sales, and method of operation. Collects and maintains information on preferences of target customer segments. Coordinates market research efforts and organizes information to assist in analyzing future products; makes recommendations for the development of new products or services. May compile and analyze statistical data on past sales and trends to forecast future trends and state-of-the-art changes. Oversees collateral, promotional and visibility strategy development and execution. Works with external agencies and cross-functional stakeholders to execute promotional and visibility plans. Manages web content for designated Preparedness, Health & Safety programs. Major Duties and Responsibilities Marketing planning: Collects and analyzes data on established and/or prospective customers. Prepares and interprets data identifying market conditions and potentials for purpose of developing product/service marketing and revenue growth strategies. Establishes research methodology and designs format for data gathering. Prepares business plans and presentations for senior management Market research: Identifies and tracks external research data. Designs, develops and implements research studies, including polls and tracking surveys, for obtaining data to support the development and improvement of the organization's marketing objectives. May manage external vendors supporting research projects. Conducts market research to gauge customer preferences. Market analysis: Develops and analyzes reports for the purpose of interpreting market conditions and potentials for increasing the organization's public awareness, product and service base. Understands and monitors market and competitive trends. Analyzes geographic, demographic, and economic market segments for revenue growth opportunities Brand management: Provides input to or manages visual and creative components of product development. Promotional strategy and toolkit development: Develops and manages promotional campaigns and collateral strategies and execution. Works with external agencies, field units, and cross-functional stakeholders to identify collateral needs and execute promotional plans. Campaign management: Manages visibility and promotional campaigns through multiple channels, including web, social media, e-marketing, print, and PR/media Web content management: Manages or oversees web content and positioning, and search engine marketing Social medial strategy development: Develops email and social media marketing strategies Agency management: Manages external agencies if/when the marketing activities above are performed by an external agency Cross-functional collaboration and organizational coordination: Interfaces with cross-functional departments product development, advertising, communications, government relations, and others to ensure the customer and business needs of the line of business are met Qualifications: Bachelor s Degree or equivalent relevant work experience is required.
