Position summary

Adobe is looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer to be part of development team that produces a complex, high-performance analytics product called Omniture Insight. Our engineering staff enjoys building cutting-edge technology to tackle the mountainous challenges involved in performing truly real-time, flexible analysis on multi-terabyte data sets. We are also called upon to generate innovative ideas to further Adobe's domination of this rapidly-expanding industry of online business optimization. Those who thrive at Adobe have superior problem-solving skills coupled with a knack for developing large-scale, high-performance, complex systems.

Responsibilities

* Participate in the evolution of Adobe Insight, a world-class, high-performance, enterprise-scale online analytics software package.
* Conceive, design, and implement innovative new features and functionality.
* Design and optimize complex algorithms to improve scalability and performance for large data sets in a NoSQL environment.
* Work with a small team of developers on several development projects simultaneously.
* Own and maintain large portions of the product.
* Have fun doing so!

Requirements

* Superior algorithm and problem-solving skills.
* The ability to rapidly become familiar with a large, complicated software system.
* Fluency in C++.
* Experience with server-side application development.
* Experience with design of large, distributed systems.
* Experience designing and developing high-performance, multi-threaded software.
* Experience with Big Data/NoSQL architectures.
* BA/BS or MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
* A detail-oriented and highly self-motivated personality.
* Willingness to work in an extremely challenging & fast-paced environment.
* Experience with OpenGL is a plus but not mandatory.
* Experience developing for Windows is a plus but not mandatory.
