Tetra Tech AMT is looking for a Systems Engineer to work on Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) projects and whose primary job duties and responsibilities will be related to the following task order description:
* The Systems engineering manual is intended to provide general guidance and information on systems engineering that will be useful to the FAA community. It provides a generic description of Systems Engineering (SE) as it should be applied throughout FAA. A goal of the handbook is to increase awareness and consistency across the Agency and advance the practice of SE.
* Version 3.1 of the Systems Engineering Manual was last updated 10/11/06. A revised and updated version of the Systems Engineering Manual (SEM) is required to reflect policy changes of the acquisition management system, national airspace enterprise architecture, and adopt a system of systems view to complement Next Generation Air Transportation systems development processes. The developed air traffic control systems are architected and integrated to achieve the agency s goals of increased safety, greater capacity, international leadership, and organizational excellence.
Job Requirements :
The successful candidate MUST have:
Have minimum of 25 years of relevant systems engineering experience
Have experience authoring and leading the development and publishing of a Systems Engineering Manual or Handbook for a major agency at the State or Federal Level
Be knowledgeable/experienced in the application of the Forsberg's Vee Model to Systems Engineering Processes throughout a Product Life Cycle
Be available to begin work immediately following client s approval
* Good verbal and written communication skills to effectively deal with customers.
* Must have good organizational skills, be detail oriented, and able to meet agency and customer deadlines.
* Due to the nature of this position U.S. citizenship is required.
