Systems Engineer, Senior-11000765

ASRC Management Services (ASRC MS), a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is currently seeking a Senior Java Developer (Programmer IV) to join our team at DOL in Washington, DC.

Roles/Responsibilities:

The Senior Java Developer will perform the following:

*
Participate in all phases of software development life cycle for new development and upgrades.

*
Work with DITMS staff to troubleshoot and resolve application server/database server configuration and other issues.

*
Maintain and enhance the Middle Tier code in the DFEC iFECS application and the Web applications.

*
Troubleshoot and provide technical solutions to middle tier application issues encountered by new and existing DFEC applications.

Requirements:

* Must have a Bachelors degree with a minimum of 8 years of related IT development experience. An additional 2 years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
* Must have a minimum of 5 years experience with Java / J2EE /EJB (Server Side / Middle tier) development.
* Must have 5 years experience with SDLC, OO Design/Development, N-tier Architecture and Web Architecture.
* Must have 2 years of experience with IBM Websphere application server.
* Must have 2 years of experience with IBM DB2 database design and development.
* Must have experience in the following tools: StarTeam, Rational ClearQuest, Jintegra.
* Claims processing system experience is preferred.
* Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
* Must be able to pass a Government background investigation.
