Based in Washington, D.C., ACDI/VOCA is a nonprofit international development organization that delivers technical and management assistance in agribusiness, financial services, enterprise development, community development and food security to promote broad-based economic growth and vibrant civil society. ACDI/VOCA currently has approximately 90 projects in 40 countries and revenues of $140 million.

We are seeking a D.C.-based Vice President for Program Logistics and Support to provide leadership to a high-functioning central support unit. The Vice President will guide the program operations start-up/close-out team; develop and institutionalize a suite of tools and resources relevant to best practices; organize systems to improve efficiency and institutional learning; work with corporate divisions to identify critical tasks; research and recommend solutions to administrative problems; liaise and coordinate with Program Services and the technical support units to develop online and/or specialized skill-based trainings; ensure proposals incorporate appropriate resources relevant to startup, backstopping and closeout (review budgets and narratives); and develop language for proposals highlighting institutional systems that support project success. The VP will also be required to supervise staff members as needed.

A master s degree in international development, business administration, agricultural sciences or related technical field, and a minimum of 10 years of experience providing administrative support or directly managing complex international development programming, are required. Knowledge of USAID contracts and agreement mechanisms is also required. Candidates must demonstrate excellence in oral and written communications; strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills; working knowledge in MS Excel, Word and Power Point; and the ability to work independently and as part of a team, handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and track and report on progress. Position requires travel worldwide for short-term assignments (up to 20 percent of the time). Fluency in at least one other language strongly preferred.
