JOB SUMMARY: Catholic Charities is seeking a DYNAMIC BILINGUAL (PART TIME) Dental Clinic Receptionist to join our NW DC team!!

The BILINGUAL PART TIME Dental Clinic Receptionist is responsible for managing the front desk of the dental clinic. The BILINGUAL PART TIME Dental Clinic Receptionist receives patients, explains the services provided by the clinic and/or refers clients to other services (inside and outside the agency) in a timely manner, manages registration, collects service fees, and processes billing

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receives clients in a courteous and pleasant manner, providing an explanation of the services provided by the dental clinic. Ensures that clients sign in for clinic services and sign a HIPAA agreement.
• Prepares patient records for clinic appointments; ensures the accuracy of all records (both paper files and electronic records).
• Oversees the movement of the clients in and out of the dental clinic.
• Schedules clients for appointments with appropriate provider, assuring provider continuity and patient’s satisfaction.
• Logs receipt of reports from Providers and laboratories.
• Manages patient accounts payable and receivable on a daily basis; prepares monies for banking.
• Handles cash regularly to include:
• Count, compute, and reconcile daily cash receipts (including cash, checks, and credit card transactions) of client fees and/or donations. Immediately, resolve any cash collection issues that arise. Complete the Agency form Check/Cash Receipts Log (CR-A) detailing cash collected and cash deposited to the bank, scanned checks, and credit card transactions.
• Prepare and scan checks for remote deposit through the banking system, if applicable.
• Make regular deposit of cash collected to the local branch of the Agency’s partner bank.
• Provide documentation of all receipts and deposits to Finance department within two (2) business days of receipt or deposit.
• Compile a weekly/monthly summary report(s) of cash receipts.
• Receives incoming phone calls and properly direct calls.
• Orients and trains volunteers for the front desk and supervises their participation.


Requirements
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma or equivalency.
• Experience receiving, counting, balancing, and reconciling monies from client fees or other sources.
• Two (2) years experience in an office setting, preferably in a clinic/doctor’s office.
• Experience working with the Latino community
• Bilingual, Spanish-English.
