FUNCTION OF POSITION:

Each meeting, event or gathering held at Eaton Washington D.C. has a unique purpose and it is the responsibility of the Senior Sales Manager to identify the client's needs and ensure they are met from the first stage of the sales process. This position requires you to be the face of Eaton D.C., an ambassador of our values, mission, and purpose through the practice of conscious hospitality.

The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for attainment of assigned quarterly goals tied to the overall performance of the hotel. The individual will be responsible for effectively soliciting and securing new contacts, accounts and bookings through prospecting, networking, attending tradeshows and soliciting organizations tied to the mission of the brand. The Senior Sales Manager will work in conjunction with the Director of Sales & Events to achieve the hotel's revenue and market share goals for the property.

The Senior Sales Manager will process business correspondence and create contracts and other related booking documentation as required. This position requires an excellent selling strategy, strong communication skills, and a detailed understanding of property operations, food & beverage, and overall planning.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Establish and ensure Eaton's intention/mission as a company is at the forefront of each and every customer interaction

* Maintain effective involvement with key community organizations, upholding key relationships with previous clients and maintaining customer satisfaction

    -Must be proficient in general computer knowledge especially Delphi (sales force)
    -Proactively conduct solicitation calls, conduct sales site tours and entertain clients specific to the assigned market segment including feeder, local and drive markets
    -Seeks methods to penetrate key business activities within the marketplace and finds profitable ways to bring this business to the property
    -Actively participates in industry related organizations. Attends trade shows, community events and industry meetings to develop business opportunities
    -Researches and maintains knowledge of market trends, competition and customers


* Work with affiliated GSO's as directed to drive exposure/business to the property

* Understand the overall market - competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and how to sell against them.
