Job Description

Residence Inn by Marriott Washington DC / Foggy Bottom, a leader in the hospitality industry, is offering an exciting opportunity for an  Director of Operations to be responsible for the overall operations of the hotel.

The  Director of Operations  will supervise the Front Desk, Valet/Lobby Attendants and Breakfast/Gatehouse Departments, as well as interact with the General Manager on a daily basis to ensure the hotel runs smoothly. The selected individual will be responsible for the overall success of the hotel, supervising the majority of the hotel staff, meeting or exceeding planned objectives for revenue and profit, and assuring guest satisfaction and product quality standards are met. Also, will assist the General Manager to manage all areas of the hotel in accordance with brand standards to achieve a friendly atmosphere of superior guest service and product quality and provides exemplary performance for staff to follow.

Job Requirements

  • The qualified candidate must be highly motivated with experience in Operations (preferably with an upscale limited service or extended stay branded hotel).
  • Must be a versatile manager capable of stepping in and leading the front office, valet and food service teams with additional responsibilities in HR/Accounting as well.
  • Previous experience managing and the supervising staff are required.
