Job Description

MBA Consulting Services, Inc. (MBA CSi), is a staff augmentation firm specializing in providing the staffing of technical services to the US Postal Service. Established in 1999 as an executive search firm supporting Fortune 500 corporate clients, MBA CSi has expanded its service offerings to federal agencies and major federal contractors.

Essential Functions:

The ServiceNow System Administrator will be knowledgeable and have experience supporting administrative duties of a ServiceNow platform. The System Administrator will support a PMO function within a civilian government agency located in Washington, DC. The ServiceNow System Administrator will be responsible for defining, designing, and implementing prototypes in ServiceNow ITBM (IT Business management) and PPM modules. Additionally, the system administrator will:

  • Be trained on ServiceNow Project and Portfolio Management Capabilities and Technical Best Practices

  • Help transform business and technical requirements into implementation plans; Document requirements, develop technical specifications, prepare Release Notes for ServiceNow releases

  • Support the configuration of applications including, but not limited to, Service Catalog, Service Portal, Incident, Change, Problem, Knowledge, Configuration Management (CMDB), Project & Portfolio (PPM) and Reporting / Performance Analytics

  • Formulate testing approach, develop test cases, build and deploy code into Production in defined releases

  • Develop training material for Train-the-Trainer approach, and deliver training sessions for the trainers

  • Develop milestones and plan for migration roadmap, and conduct focus group sessions with key stakeholders and product owners

  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and fix identified ServiceNow system issues / operational support

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

  • 10+ years of professional experience in IT

  • ServiceNow (Administrator or Developer) certification is a must

  • 4+ years of experience with ServiceNow platform

  • Thorough knowledge of service delivery, ITBM and PPM processes and how these are automated within ServiceNow

  • Experience with the PPM module is preferred, including generating dashboards and reports for the senior leadership for making portfolio decisions

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum concepts

  • Experience in implementation and customization of core applications including Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, Configuration Management, and Service Catalog is a plus

  • Experience in the GRC, Performance Analytics and Financial Management modules is a plus

  • Experience in the IT Operations Management (ITOM) space including Event Management, Release Management, Discovery +CMDB, Service Mapping and Orchestration is preferred
