ASCO Power Technologies, an industry leader in the manufacturing of Automatic Transfer Switches, Industrial Control Products, Load Banks, Power Control Systems, Services and Solutions, has an exciting career opportunity for an Inside Sales Rep based out of Clearwater.

Qualifications:

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the attainment of overall sales objectives for accounts with assigned markets. Objectives are achieved through the effective management of all sales resources to promote and develop new accounts and assigned accounts. Sales are direct and through distributors.




ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

•Achieve sales quota through managing existing account relationships and developing new accounts

•Identify, pursue and develop new accounts within designated market segment(s) as directed by manager

•Provide technical support to account base

•Work with outside sales to develop and implement short and long term strategic plans to support Company objectives

•Understand and be able to develop a quote from electrical drawings and specifications

•Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction

•Learn and utilize company database including:

Entering detailed contact and project information on a daily basis

Preparing quotes/proposals, sales orders and RMA's

Research, understand and update customer profiles

•Work trade show booths if requested

•Willing to travel minimum of 10% and maintain travel and entertainment expenses within guidelines

•Provide monthly sales reports, forecasts, detailed job list and updates to manager

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

•Flexible and creative in dealing with customers

•Promote professional ASCO Power Technologies image

•Recommend market pricing strategies by understanding competitive pricing within markets

•Develop proposals based on a site visit/walk-through

•Assist with the development and implementation of marketing plans




M INIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

•Fluency in basic electrical fundamentals

•Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic components and systems

•Working knowledge of power quality and its implications

•Conduct technical presentations, in person and via webinar, detailing company products and services to distributors, contractors, end users and OEM customers

•Positive teambuilding and interpersonal skills

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE :

•Minimum 2-5 years sales related experience with a two-year degree preferred

COMPETENCIES:

•Excellent verbal and written communication

•Must be organized and a self-starter who can work with minimum direction

•Capacity for learning the basics of the electrical industry and specifics of surge protection

•Strong information gathering and fact finding skills

•Good decision making and problem solving skills

•Strong presentation skills
