The Trump International Hotel, DC is currently seeking an outstanding PASTRY COOK for Trump Hotel Washington, DC! Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
The Pastry Cook reports to the Executive Pastry Chef. The Pastry Cook will participate in the creation, daily production, and distribution of all pastries, desserts and baked goods for the Food and Beverage Outlets and Banquets. They ensure recipes and standards are followed, food and labor costs are controlled, the appropriate quantity is prepared, that safety standards and regulations are followed in order to provide top quality goods for an enhanced guest experience. These efforts are to be focused on providing the guest with an outstanding experience.
In conjunction with the Executive Pastry Chef, the Pastry Cook will participate in the maintenance/sanitation of the pastry shop and equipment to ensure a healthy, safe work environment which meets/exceeds federal, state, and Hotel standards and regulations.. Maintain pastry shop supplies at par levels to ensure quality production. Other duties/responsibilities as directed by the Executive Pastry Chef.
Our ideal candidate will possess:
- At least 1-2 years’ experience in Pastry production and cooking
- Previous experience in a Forbes rated hotel, fine dining restaurant or high end bakery strongly preferred.
- Creative and current on food and industry trends.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
